The estate was acquired for £2.4m in 2004 in a Joint Venture with The Remenham Partnership in a special purpose vehicle, Shawfield Properties Ltd.
The estate comprises three separate blocks of property totalling 96,330 sq ft with car parking for 200 cars. The estate had a high vacancy level and was in need of refurbishment. Following upgrading 6 new lettings were concluded and rental income increased by 350%. The share capital of Shawfield Properties Ltd was sold to Briarhall Estates for £6m in July 2008.
The property lies in the Shawfield area of the city close to Rutherglen, approximately 1.5 miles south east of Glasgow City Centre.
